Appointments

blue_calendar_2011We operate an appointment system, which means that all consultations are by appointment only. Appointments can be made in person at reception during surgery hours or by telephone.

If you consider that you need an urgent appointment that day, it helps if you give a brief outline of the problem to the receptionist who will make appropriate arrangements. Please make a separate appointment for each person.

We try to keep to appointment times but some problems may take longer than usual and the doctor may occasionally be called out to an emergency. You may therefore be seen later than your appointment time. Please be patient and understanding.

Doctors' Consultation Times

We offer various morning, afternoon and evening surgeries. If you have an appointment that you are unable to keep, please let the surgery know as soon as possible and always before the time of the appointment. Any cancelled appoinments can be given to others who need them.

Practice Nurse

Consultation Times (by appointment). We offer various morning, afternoon and evening surgeries.

Telephone Consultations

Your doctor is happy to discuss, or advise on, some matters over the telephone. We would, however, request that if possible your name, and a brief explanation of the problem, should be left with the receptionist. This will then be passed on to the doctor and you will be advised of the best time to call back and speak to the doctor.

Important Information

We have provided a touchscreen facility for all patients to check themselves in for their appointment on arrival.

NOTE:

  • 51 patients did not attend their appointment during January this amounted to 655 minutes of wasted GP/Nurse time

Therefore please telephone the surgery to cancel any appointments that you no longer require in order that we can free them up for use by other  patients.

A record is kept of all failed attendances and these are reviewed regularly. Where it is felt that the Doctor/patient relationship has broken down irretrievably the appropriate action will be taken to allow us to deliver a service within our resources. Regrettably, this means the removal of a patient from our list.
